Pastor's article 06-14-26

 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
      For brethren to dwell together in unity!
      It is like the precious ointment upon the head,
      That ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard:
      That went down to the skirts of his garments;
       As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: For there the LORD commanded the blessing,
      Even life for evermore. Ps 133:1–3.
Scripture makes it clear that God desires His Church to live in unity. Although this is how it should be, achieving it can be difficult because we differ in our preferences, our ways of thinking, and our desire to have things done our way. True unity does not mean conformity. We can be different and still be united when we share something greater than our individual differences. That greater reality is Christ. When we surrender to His lordship, we learn to work together and to seek His will instead of our own. Consider the sunflower. It is one of the most remarkable flowers God created because it follows the sun. Seeing a single sunflower turn is interesting, but seeing an entire field move together in unison is truly striking. Even after sunset, sunflowers continue to track the sun’s direction, turning fully to remain oriented toward it. Their unity depends on one thing: their relationship with the sun.
In the same way, the Church’s unity depends entirely on each believer’s relationship with the Son.
