In the beginning God created man and woman to have fellowship with Him, to walk with Him and talk with Him, and they did in the cool of the day until they fell in sin. The fall of sin was great and was devastating, corrupting the purpose of mankind, separating him from the relationship for which he was created. Sin brought death and corruption into the world and for six thousand years God has been redeeming mankind back to a place of fellowship and his created purpose. I can say with the authority of God’s word that if you are not in a right relationship with God, if you are not hearing from Him, not talking to Him, and not walking daily with Him, then you are not living your life to the fullest. God created you to have a relationship with Him in your life and there is nothing in the world that can take its place; nothing else can satisfy the longing you were born with for that walk with Him.
As we look at Revelation chapter 16 today, I hope you will notice that man, under the judgement of God, lives a life of continually blaspheming God, even until the bitter end of his life here on this earth. Why? Because he hates the life that he is living and is blinded to the fact that he has been deceived into thinking that his choice is not the reason for his judgement. Man has been duped into thinking that God condemned him, but the reality is that his sin condemned him, and God sent His Son to take away his condemnation. In the end, man will be ashamed because he is uncovered by the atonement of Jesus Christ; he will stand naked and exposed before God because, unlike Adam and Eve, he refused to have the shed blood covering provided by God applied to his life.
Friend, have you been covered by the blood of Jesus or will you too stand naked and condemned before God one day?
