Do you ever get so excited about something that you can hardly focus on anything else? That is what I have been struggling with lately; the excitement has been building for some time now and it makes it hard to stay focused on all other aspects of life. Most of you probably think I am talking about my vacation that starts on Tuesday - and that would be a good guess, but not a totally accurate one. You see, for some time we have been going through Revelation and, from the onset of this study, my eye has been on this 19th chapter. In my opinion it is the most exciting chapter because it is where the Bride and the Bridegroom are forever united. That’s right, it is the time when the marriage of the Lamb has come, and the Bride hath made herself ready! From this place in scripture, it gets good: we see what we have been looking forward to coming to pass.
For every true believer and follower of Jesus Christ, the day that we look forward to is the day when all of this is over and we are in the presence of the Lord Jesus in our place of service for eternity. We dream of a better home, a better body, and a better life and all of that is just the icing on the cake as we will have a better relationship with Christ. In His presence, with no flesh, or flashy temptations to distract us from our created purpose of walking with and worshiping the Lord. What a celebration this is going to be, and we are closer now than we have ever been. What a day that will be!
