What a Day That Will Be
There is coming a day when no heartaches shall come -
No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye.
All is peace forevermore on that happy golden shore.
What a day, glorious day that will be!
What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon his face - The One who saved me by his grace.
When He takes me by the hand and leads me through the Promised Land;
What a day, glorious day that will be!
There'll be no more sorrow there, no more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there.
And forever I will be with the One who died for me.
What a day, glorious day that will be!
The lyrics of that song by Jim Hill bring me so much comfort, not because they sound good, but because they are based upon the truth of God’s Word. Friend, we have an eternal promise of heaven, and it may be that we get there by way of the Rapture instead of the grave. Jesus could call His Church home at any moment; therefore, we need to be ready to go, ready and excited to hear our Lord say, “Come up hither,” to see Him face to face, the One who saved us by His grace. If there is anything you need to fix before you face Him, fix it. If there is anything you need to tell people before He comes, go tell them. Get your house in order and be ready, for He is coming at a time that you think not.
