Faithful for 113 Years
For 113 years, Tom’s Creek Baptist Church has labored to win people to Christ and help believers grow into mature Christians. Our goal remains clear: to make Christ known here in the Tom’s Creek community and around the world, so that people from every nation, tribe, and language may hear of our wonderful Savior.
Our Hope and Mission
We know that humanity’s only true hope is a relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict lost people, call them to repentance and faith, and draw them into the saving grace of our Lord.
Looking Toward Tomorrow
When Tom’s Creek Baptist Church was founded, those faithful believers likely did not expect the world to continue for another 113 years. Yet here we are. As I look at the world today, I wonder whether it will stand for another 113 years. But if it does, my prayer is that this church will still be faithfully standing on the Word of God and working to fulfill the Great Commission.
I cannot control what those who come after me will do, but I do have the responsibility to help equip the next generation and pass along a clear call to live out the faith that has been entrusted to us. I may have concerns about what the church of the future could become, but the work before me is to be faithful in the church today through my own effort, witness, and service.
A Challenge for Today
I challenge you to ask yourself a simple question: If the church of tomorrow is as faithful as you are today, what will tomorrow's church look like?

• If tomorrow's church is as active as you are, will it be strong?
• If tomorrow's church gives as you give, will it be generous?
• If tomorrow's church goes and tells as you do, will it be obedient to the Great Commission?

Remember, what we sow today is what we will reap tomorrow. You are a teacher, a trendsetter, and an example for those who will walk in your footsteps. So, walk by faith-- and for heaven's sake, walk straight.
