One of the most peaceful thoughts in this world is the understanding of the love that God has for us as people of grace. It is such a comfort to know that God loves me and, when I see Him face to face, I am not going to be looking at a face filled with anger or disappointment, but one filled with the joy of my being with Him and in His presence. To know my created purpose and it being fulfilled by His perfect redemption plan brings great peace to my life. I hope you understand that if you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior that God is not mad at you; He loves you and longs for you to be with Him that where He is you may be also. (John 14: 3) It is the love of God that motivates us to serve Him and wow, what a motivation it is!
On the other hand, be reminded that if you do not accept Christ, there is the unsatisfied wages of your sin that must be dealt with. To decide not to accept Christ is a blatant decision to reject the payment for your sin and to tread underfoot the supreme sacrifice of God’s only begotten Son. Everyone who rejects Christ will have the wrath of God poured out upon him, and the God of grace and mercy will be to him a God of wrath and eternal punishment. Not because God chose to punish, but because those rebellious rejecters of Christ chose to neglect so great a salvation. God is a just God, and justice requires that sin be paid for, not overlooked. Friend, if you are not a saved person, repent of your sin and turn to Christ today while there is still an opportunity to do so.
