What does a perfect world look like to you? When you look back through the pages of history, it is almost comical to hear some of the promises that are made by those who aspire to be leaders. Look for yourself at some of the promises that have been made down through the years. Franklin Roosevelt said he would usher in the “New Deal”, John F. Kennedy promised “The New Frontier”, Lyndon B. Johnson envisioned “The Great Society”, George H. Bush the “New World Order”, and Donald J. Trump calls this “the golden age of America.”  I imagine that most of these men had good intention, and to some extent could argue that they tried, partly succeeded and at the very least made some things better. Yet we know what one person calls better, another may consider to be a devastating disaster. You see, the perfect world can have many different definitions. For instance, I want a country with secure borders, while others want no borders. I want a country that is financially responsible, and others feel as though a national deficit means nothing. I want able people to be required to work and contribute to society’s well-being, while some think that our welfare system is good as long as it is giving handouts. I could go on and on with the differing views in our country and for that matter in the world, but I think you understand what I am saying. A person’s convictions, or beliefs determine what he thinks a perfect world is. I am here today to report to you that the only one who has the right to tell us what a perfect world looks like is the One who created it. The good news is that He is one who is coming back to rule and reign for a thousand years, and this world will be returned to what He says perfect is. In our study of Revelation 20 we will see what The Lord is going to turn this world into as the King of all Kings who rules with a rod of iron. It is going to be great for those who have the heart of God and the mind of Christ.
