Assoc Pastor Article 02-25-24

Have you ever felt like you weren’t able to change much in this world? We live in a country that encourages individualism and advocates forsaking your neighbor for your personal gain. This is greatly preached against in the Bible. Everyone knows that “golden rule”, but not everyone knows the God it came from. Jesus said, “Just as you want others to do for you, do the same for them.” – Luke 6:31 CSB. In everything that Jesus preached, His love for people was the priority in His ministry. That is ultimately why He went to the cross.
          You see as well as I do, the need for change in our community, country, and world. You may feel as if you are too small in a big world to create change, but that isn’t true. Students, you have an opportunity this summer to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the people of this country. We are planning a project through World Changers this June 17th – 24th. As of right now we are in the process of registering for either Henderson, KY or Rock Hill, SC. Within the next week we should have the location nailed down. Church, I ask that you start praying now for the students, adults, and community that will be involved in this mission. Pray for safety, blessings, and the Lord’s harvesters. A sign-up sheet and more information will be coming in the future. Together, we can change the world!
