I remember growing up and being taught to love my country, from singing the National Anthem, to starting school days with the Pledge of Allegiance, and Independence Day Celebrations. I have always known that America was a place of opportunity and place of hope for a better future. A place where hard work and lawful living were respected and expected for success. Friend, I love this country and am thankful to have had the privilege of living in a place where my freedoms were enjoyed and to be honest taking for granted.
Many times, after having traveled to other countries I have come home and gotten on my knees and thanked God that I was born in the land of Liberty. I want this for my grandkids and great grandkids. For the future generations to have this privilege that has been afforded me, I pray, work and will stand to try and ensure, that this is not only a place of hope for them but for the world. Where worlds of people dream of going and living, who would they turn to for help if America fails and falls. You see God has strategically placed this great Country here to be a beacon of light to all who would dare dream of liberty and hope for a better life for their family. People have come from all over the world in search of a better life and so many times they have found real life as they have heard our pulpits proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. We have sent missionaries around the world and back again, but God has also brought many to the land for free speech that they might hear and be saved. French Statesman Alexis De Tocqueville Said “I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there; in her fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there; in her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there. Not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because America is good; and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.” My prayer is that America will repent and turn back to God so America will be good and great again.
