Tammy and I are so blessed to have been given these almost 25 years to serve the Lord here at Tom’s Creek. We are so thankful for the relationships God has allowed us to have over these many years. We have had the privilege of laughing with you, crying with you, crying for you and at times even crying because of some of you. I can honestly say that these have been some of the best years of our life. I heard many of you say thanks for investing in your life last week at the pastor appreciation fellowship and received many cards with gracious comments but to be honest you have invested on our lives as well. You have loved on us, our kids, and our grandkids in such a marvelous way, and we are so very thankful.
Over the years I have had serval opportunities to go to other churches and serve as their pastor. Staying all of these years has never been based on the finances, but always about you the people. You are such a big part of my family and we truly do love you and we love serving you. When I came to Tom’s Creek I prayed that God would give me a heart to serve you out of love not obligation. I wanted a ministry, not a job, and you have made it so easy for this to be the case. The heart you have to serve the Lord, the willingness, and effort you put forth to see souls saved and lives changed makes being your Pastor a real honor. I pray that God gives us many more years to serve together and as we labor together may it be that we see many more people come to Christ. Thank you for allowing me and my wife to serve as your pastor and wife. Rev. Wayne Marcus
