Pastor's article 11-17-24

Have you been surprised to see all the unrest in the world over the last few years: the wars in Israel, Ukraine, and now North Korea getting involved? Believe me when I tell you that things may get better before they get worse, but they are going to get worse. The Bible tells us in Matthew 24:4-8 “And Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.’”  (KJV) Please understand that we are living in the last days and, as the hearts of men grow ever colder, there will be more wars, and evil will continue to grow in our fallen world. There is a lot of optimism that having a strong president in America will fix the problems of this world, and like a bandage on a cut, it may very well slow the bleeding, but remember the problem with this world is sin. Law and order should be administered, but only the Lord can change the heart of man. Jesus is the answer, and we know that according to the Bible this world will grow more wicked.  The end will come as God pours out His wrath and judgement on this world. Today we begin looking at what that looks like as we start in Revelation 6. Sin and rebellion have costly consequences that are described as we continue our study in the book of Revelation. It is my prayer that this rekindles a fire in your heart to share the Gospel with people who are unsaved so that they might accept Christ before it is too late to do so.
