This year is going by so fast, here we are in the middle of November, getting ready for the holidays; wow time needs to slow down. During the month of November, it is important to take time and think about all that God has done in your life throughout the past year. I want to share some things that God has done in my life over the past year that I am thankful for. Over that past year my family has endured the passing of our Mother and as hard as that was, I am thankful that God answered her prayer and took her home to be with Him and my Dad. All she wanted from the moment that Dad died was to be with him again, God answered her prayer and for that I am thankful. I am also thankful that we have been able to worship together throughout this year and that God has blessed our church with new members allowing us to see many people saved. Believe it or not I am thankful that Tammy and I got the Covid -19, lived through it and now have natural antibodies to fight it off in the future. When I look around at what a sad shape our country is in, I am thankful that God allowed me to be raised in a free country even as many of those freedoms are in jeopardy of being stripped away.
I am even more thankful for the freedoms I have known and the America we had for so many years. As our country moves toward socialism, one thing is for certain and that is we have been blessed to have been born here and to have known America at her best. I am also thankful for my future, to know that no matter how bad things get here, this is not my eternal home and God has promised me a better home someday. It is almost hard to be sad over the state of our country knowing that my true citizenship is in heaven. God has blessed me with eternal optimism, the knowing of a better day that is coming. To God be all the Glory and thanksgiving for all that He has and will do in the future. Your Pastor, Rev. Wayne Marcus
