Weekly Article
If you knew how to make living your life less complicated would you do it? It may sound crazy, but I think life can be made very complicated when it doesn’t have to be. A couple of weeks ago I went to Tractor Supply and bought a chicken coop that had to be put together. When I got home, I opened the box and it looked like it was in a hundred pieces, which means that serious assembly was required. I looked at the picture on the box and the thought that every man has at some point came to my mind, you know the thought; “who needs instructions” yet the more I looked at the pieces, I decided to use the instructions that were included and to be honest with you the project was very easy by following the assembly instructions. There is no doubt I could have made the construction of the chicken coop a very challenging job had I tried it without following the directions.
I think life would be much simpler if we would follow the owner’s manual, quit trying to do it by our self, and trust God even when we don’t understand what He is doing. He tells us how to be saved, and how-to live-in order to bring honor to Him. When life gets hard, and it will, the easiest thing we can do ought to be follow the Lord even when the steps on the path are difficult, we only take one step at a time. Friend, remember we don’t have to know the way we just have to follow the one who does. The Lord will lead us through the valley of the shadow of death, and to the top of the highest mountains. We can do this thing called life with a lot less stress if we don’t over complicate it. Join me in praying “Lord, help us learn to rest in you and enjoy the journey.”
