The Event of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ has changed the history of the World forever. Jesus made the following statement in Matthew 10:34-36: Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. (KJV) Think of how believers of Jesus Christ have stood amid tyranny over the years, endured torture, and given their lives as martyrs for their faith. Consider all the people who have committed their lives to the service of taking the Gospel message around the world, the money that has been spent and sacrifices made to make the name of Jesus known to people of all tongues, tribes and nations. When I think of the work that has been done because Jesus commissioned His believers “ To Go Ye Therefore”. That in itself convinces me of the resurrection and the power of the Holy Spirit to regenerate mankind. The following of Jesus was not just a passing fad, or a historical myth but rather a manifestation of our Creator God, the redeeming work of God who so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believed in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Yet the greatest evidence of the resurrection of God to me is the work that God has personally done and is doing in my life. The relationship that I have with Him and the hope that motivates me each and every day to get up and get going because I know that one day soon I will get up out of this world as God calls me to my eternal home. My faith is not based upon the science of creation all though there is so much of it, it is not based upon mystery of the preservation of the Bible although that is profound, it is not based upon the thousands of fulfilled prophesies, you see my faith is based upon the change that the love of God has made in my life day by day. The power of His love has forever changed my life, and nothing can change that.
